Expressions of Interest Now Open

The Australian Disaster Recovery Organisation (ADRO), in partnership with ReadyTakeAction, is seeking communities to participate in the inaugural phase of Australia's first community-owned disaster resilience and communications network.

Through the ReadyTakeAction National Community Resilience Roadshow, selected communities will receive preparedness support, community activation, communications resilience infrastructure, and access to tools designed to strengthen resilience before, during, and after disasters.

50+ communities. Every state and territory. One national resilience network.

Why the Program Exists

Australia continues to face increasing disaster risk.

Bushfires. Floods. Storms. Cyclones. Heatwaves. Droughts.

While billions are spent responding to disasters, relatively little is invested in helping communities prepare before disaster strikes.

The Community Activation Program has been created to help change that.

Our goal is simple: Create stronger, better prepared, and more connected communities across Australia.
